Harry Bartell
(1885-1970)
Originally born in Chicago, Bartell relocated to California in 1908 and was a long-time Alameda resident. He was also the father of baseball great Dick Bartell.
A fine player in his own right, Bartell played local amateur/semi-pro baseball for a number of years with a number of different teams (see below).
After his playing days he served as an Alameda County Supervisor from 1938-55. He was also a member of the Alameda Elks and Alameda Masons.
