Track &
Field
Pamela won a silver medal in the
1976 Olympics anchoring the 4 X 400 relay. She also won two gold medals in the
1975 Pan Am Games in the 100 meter dash
and 4 x 400 relay
and was a silver medalist in the 200 meters.
Pam lives in Alameda, where she
moved after her home in New Orleans was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Luckily, Pam’s sister Giselle had
many family photos
and memories, including Pam’s Olympic silver medal, which Pamela gave to
Giselle after winning it in 1976. Despite the devastation caused
by the storm, Pam
says she is lucky because it brought her closer to her sister and the beautiful
setting of Northern California.
