It was nice to be included with such a great group of Professionals.
I was the only and youngest Professional Bowler from Alameda and was very proud of it. In 1976 I shot the highest ever 3 game series(812) at good old Mels Bowl at age 16.Turned Pro 2 years later..Sure miss those days. Thanks for including me..

It was nice taking a stroll down memory lane. Seeing all of the familiar faces of my baseball days in Alameda. Congrats to all you guys for going so far.

Kris Kaney says...
I have two letters from Alameda High, 1943 and 1944. They have a few pins from the two sports my dad, Joe Kaney, played. Is there an actual museum there who would want them? I would love for them to be somewhere displayed with the story of the high school's sports teams.

Hi Kris,

As far as I know, Alameda High School doesn't currently have a display of items of any former athletes. We would be happy to display them in the 2nd Annual Alameda Sports Exhibit that is going to be held in August/September 2010. Let me know if you would be interested in lending them to us. We can make arrangements to pick them up closer to the exhibit. Thanks for contacting us!

Best,
Dewey
